Odd fingernails, half white half red, uneven, doctors baffled?!? For several years I’ve had very odd appearing nails that are half red/pink and half white. I suffer from Raynauds quite badly in the cold weather but this came on years after I first noticed the nails. This last winter was particularly cold and during it my fingers on my right hand became enlarged all the way down each finger, stiff, dry and cracked to the extent that I couldn't make a fist and writing was difficult. The fingers are no longer swollen but now my nails on that hand are even more deformed, now with indents at the bottom, uneven surfaces, white lines and blotches. I’m undergoing blood tests at a hospital but even the doctors there said they'd never seen nails like it. It’s a little embarassing as they look so horrible. Just wondering if anyone here has experienced similar and knows what the cause could be? I've got a few pictures, not great quality though.
