What to do about my nail falling off? (Psoriasis)? I’ve psoriasis and it recently broke out about a month ago. It reached one of my nail beds and infected it. I took an antibiotic to get rid of it. But now my nail bed isn't growing in. I’ve a huge gap where my nail grows. The nail is coming loose too. Although I can't see a new nail growing in. Will a new one come back? What should I do….HELP!

I know how you feel! I’ve them too, have since I was a little kid. They’ren't harmful (I checked with my doctor) and I checked, I'm pretty sure that they’re caused by loose skin being shaken loose when you do the slightest little thing to your nail (like bang it against the table). It's the kind of stuff you brush off because it hurts for only a second. Some people say it's because of a zinc deficiency as well (not a serious one though.) If you really hate them you could take some supplement pills. My friend noticed mine yesterday and asked if they were going to fall off! I seriously doubt that either of us have psoriatic nails though, because although I've heard of them little white dots aren't what they look like. It's a genetic thing for me (my grandparents and parents on my dad's side have the white spots) Maybe you should check your families nails? Hope this can help you! (there's always nail polish too hehe)

The white spots are caused by trauma to the nail bed, so the only solution is to grow them out to the point that you have to cut your nails and be careful with your hands, or just paint over them with nail polish. They also may be caused by an iron deficiency, so take all your vitamins.
