?Ciclosporin, do the benefits outweigh the risks? Hi, my son suffers with psoriasis and has recently been prescribed Ciclosporin. The literature lists the possible side effects some of which are scary. Has anyone ever used it, what results have you had and would you recommend it, bearing in mind my son has psoriasis on most of his torso, legs and arms, and face and forehead.

Synovitis, psoriasis, other med problems? Here is my problem- I've a slew of medical issues-from fatigue, always having respiratory illness and joint pain on my entire left side, to what i JUST realized were psoriasis patches on my neck (i had them in the past. Havent seen them this entire year), as well as other issues- These being the main ones.I've taken numerous xrays, MRIs and blood tests. ONE blood test (my 1st) showed I had a positive ANA...a weak positive. Subsequent tests all came back negative for lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, etc etc...everything comes back negative...at different dr's, labs, etc... Recently, my left ring finger became extremely swollen after what felt like loss of circulation on my left arm...I was diagnosed with synovitis-which the doctor's have NO clue why I've this being that its usually only present in people with an autoimmune disease (which I've alot of symptoms of, but no lab work to justify it). Any idea what may be going on with me? I'll begin taking the medrol pack (5 days) next wk

Can you tell me the symptoms and treatments for psoriasis in children? Researchers found that pediatricians, dermatologists and internists often take different approaches to how they treat children with psoriasis, including what types of medication they use and how strong it's. "Management of psoriasis in children can be challenging," the study's authors wrote, "owing to a paucity of data and lack of standardized guidelines specific to the pediatric population." Most of the children in the study were given topical corticosteroids, particularly betamethasone. Dermatologists and internists were most likely to prescribe strong steroids. The potency was roughly the same regardless of a child's age. Pediatricians, on the other hand, most often prescribed the topical immunosuppressant tacrolimus. Severe cases of psoriasis were sometimes treated with phototherapy and oral medication.

I've psoriasis and I've bought the pink patch diet thingy..is it ok to use them with my skin condition? Hello there. You'll know the answer to that only after you have tried it. Have you tried the Champori remedy for psoriasis? I suggest that you should if you haven't: it's herbal (steroid-free) and works well for my plaque psor. Best, Bernadette
